U.S. 24 Pdr. Mortar

• From Mordecai's 1849 description
• Used extensively by the Union in the Civil War, many U.S. 24-Pounders were captured and used by the Confederacy.
• Made of bronze 500-12A with a 5.82" bore, chambered, unsleeved and vented. Unlike others, who first sand core and then cut the bore out, we cast this mortar as a solid piece with a massive thermal header to reduce porosity. We have CNC (Computer Numeric Control) milled & bored the interior and exterior to correct the original bore size. Our clients are winning competitions with this piece!
